My nick name: Atauw
I was born in Pontianak, West Kalimantan and started to learn playing muscical instrument at the age of 13 from my grand father.
First instrument I learned was ukelele and violin.
In 1962 I moved to Jakarta for school. That time I learned guitar from a teacher, Ko Bay in Jakarta.
In 1965 I returned to Pontianak and joined ANIDA RIA.
In 1967 I formed RATANANTA.
In 1969 I came back to Jakarta and changed the name of RATANANTA to EQUATOR CHILD.
in 1972 EQUATOR CHILD made a show tour in Malaysia which covered KUALA LUMPUR-KULIM KEDAH –ALOR STAR – NEGERI SEMBILAN and some other places.
in 1975 joined LOLYPOP group which led by Mr. RINTO HARAHAP and was recording music albums for famous artists such as:
